Challenge

Leonardo Zürich needed to nurture new subscribers, recover abandoned carts, and strengthen customer retention, key aspects for a premium fashion brand building loyalty in its first year of e-commerce. The goal was to make email not just a communication tool, but a core revenue channel.

Approach

I designed and implemented a series of automated email flows and campaigns, including:

  • A welcome flow introducing the brand story and best-selling products

  • Abandoned cart recovery sequences to boost conversions

  • Post-purchase emails to encourage repeat business and deepen customer connection

  • Regular newsletters featuring seasonal launches and curated lifestyle content

Each flow was tailored to the brand’s premium positioning, with refined visuals and compelling copywriting.

Results

  • Welcome flow: 75% open rate, 26% click rate, 12% conversion rate

  • Email campaigns overall: 59% open rate, 6% click rate, 0.2% conversion rate

  • Revenue impact: CHF 38,500 generated from welcome flow + CHF 21,800 from campaigns since launch

  • All metrics significantly above industry benchmarks (apparel average open rate 38%, click rate 1.45%, conversion 0.07%)
